Gm s tire pressure monitor employs a sensor inside each tire s valve stem.
One is direct and the other is indirect.
If the tpms id is logged with the ecu then it is compared with the placard pressure and if under pressure then a warning light is lit on the dash mounted display.
I dont need them at all.
So far there is no do it yourself solution.

When swapping to winter rim tires you need to have the dealer reprogram the new tpms sensors as the vehicle cannot store two sets of codes.
Apparently mitsubishi vehicles don t have a tpms reset button.
Dealer charges 60 to reprogram the codes.
Cause those faults on lcd are so annoying remove advertisements.
You can update your ecu to use new sensors but it has to be done at the dealer.
